Tikanga whakatōpū taonga

Michael Findlay sadly passed away in 2019. We began Museograph together and MIchael was passionate and an extremely clever museum curator, exhibition designer, academic and cultural historian.

His love of telling stories of the past and contributing to local heritage and museums cannot be replaced. Michael would spend hours of his own time to support others for little or no money. 

​

He was a passionate teacher and supported many students through their studies at Otago University and the Otago Polytechnic. 

​

Michael was a mentor to many people and I will miss his wonderful wit and intelligent conversations. He was a master of the word and wrote to engage his readers. 

​

You leave a massive hole, our good friend.
